Mixed reviews but at least the main issues were upheld. If I understand correctly about 1/2 was not upheld as Federal law exists, regarding those parts of the proposed AZ law.

Looks to me like AZ won this one as they were right to begin with.

Congrats to AZ and Jan Brewer's crew.

Looks like kinda a mixed bag as I read different articles & opinions. At least ROL was upheld regarding papers/creds/Id's etc.

My beliefs don't dig the general azimuth it's headed.

After watching and listening to several stations now to include the far left/right, I don't know if my initial observation is correct.

Becks folks are saying AZ got a reasonable deal in getting the main issue thru.

Pointing out that the overturned part already has existing federal laws which can't be duplicated. " Even if the Exc branch has ordered DHS/ICE to not enforce those existing laws"

That observation is short sighted if you consider long term immigration legislation and the other law suits working their way thru the courts right now.

It's interesting I just finished a couple of books, regarding potential immigration results regarding New Mexico and other states being occupied by socialists, marxist with assistance from one world govt types and the sitting and past president.

Most of the mainstream media articles mention AG Holder's and POTUS's comments regarding the decision. POTUS has shown that he's no friend of local law enforcement, and Holder's record speaks for itself. I know where my vote won't be going.

Scalia's dissenting opinion is a very good read.
