I did a search to make sure no one had reviewed this and didn't come up with anything substantial.
Upon opening the mailer you find some very simple components. The adapter rail, a set screw, an allen wrench, the mounting screw and decal.

CNC machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum the mount The Strikemark mount comes in at a mere 4 inches. The mount has to slide on so if you are running flip up sights those will need to come off. If you have a free float rail and pinned FSB you will need to mount the Strikemark on the rear of the upper receiver. There are 5 different mounting positions. However with my Canon Powershot only 2 were usable if mounting off the left side. The middle location is accesible but only if you offset the camera then screw in the set screw and realign the camera. Four positions were easily accessible off the right. The 5th hole isn't easily accessible from either side so it's pretty much a wash because the mounting screw can't turn so you would have to turn the camera instead of the screw. The mounting screw is threaded 1/4x20 so most cameras should fit.
Both my point and shoot as well as my DSLR fit. Although, while taking much higher quality video, I can't see running a DSLR. Upon further inspection you'll notice the bottom of the mount does not have sharp edges but have been taken down on a 45* angle. A nice touch in case you accidently whack the mount. The set screw has a nylon tip that won't mar you're rifle. The mounting screw is easy to get hand tight, but only shooting will tell how easily it comes loose. The finish is a nice matte black hardcoat anodized finish that won't stand out and looks like it should be on a rifle. My particular cameras could not "look through" the sight, so that may not be possible. I haven't gotten it out to the range yet but I will this week.
This is a great little add on that could be used on a hunt or 3 Gun comp and at $34.95 + free U.S. shipping and a lifetime warranty, I would say it's well worth it. Stayed tuned for a video later this week.
