A friend of mine wants to sell his barely used Glock 23. It's a third generation.
Anything I should look out for on this model? What's a fair price?

Find out how much he's asking and how many mags come with it.

If you can do a FTF deal for around $450 that's pretty good. Anything lower than that and the deal, for you, gets better.

The cool thing about the G23 is you can buy a G32 barrel and shoot 357SIG from it as well. Then pick yourself up a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel (http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=4279) and a couple of G19 magazines and shoot 9mm as well!

Do you need to swap out the ejector when making this barrel change? The .40 S&W to .357 Sig seems like a no brainer, but does the .40 S&W ejector work on 9mm cases?

Thanks for the reply. I had heard about the .357 Sig barrel, but not the Lone Wolf 9mm. I'm going to talk to him later today about it.
I've always been a 1911 guy, but I like the simplicity of the Glock.

You CAN run the standard ejector but it's not 100% reliable. I have had a couple FTE with mine but for the most part (plinking/practice) it's fine. LW does not recommend you use their conversion barrels for personal defense.

Buy it!

If I found a local FTF deal for that I would jump on it immediately. I had a G32 with an extra G23 barrel and a LW 9mm Conversion barrel and I sold it. Now I kick myself in the ass for doing so and I've been looking for a G23 ever since.
