Getting started with a .50 cal.

I've been entertaining the idea of buying a .50 cal. rifle since I finally have the money to get one. However, before buying one/asking a million questions I'd like to learn more about what's out there and shooting one in general. Anybody know a reputable person/place to learn about .50 cal. from?

I assume your talking 50bmg here..Join the FCSA and visit their website. If you can, go to a 1000 yd. match,talk to shooters. Barrett firearms has a long range shooting class using their guns but it looks pretty pricey.
