Searched and it does not seem we have this thread yet. Looking forward to the arrival of this pistol in September of 2012. We'll see what it brings and how it does.

Looks interesting. Outward appearance of a Ruger design. :sarcastic:
Crazy Russians, standing down range for a video.
Looks interesting... I'm finally leaning towards trying out a Caracal, and now this may own me next year.

the caracal seems a little more compact...
it always amazes me how every new polymer pistol somehow manages to be even uglier than glock.

More options are always better for the consumer.
Russia isn't known for quality merchandise.

I believe it is being manufactured in Italy. It's a joint project between an Italian and a Russian.
No kidding skyugo, that thing is DAMN Ugly!
Sniper Frog, wasn't there some talk a few months ago about Beretta building a factory in Russia? Could this have something to do with it?
I won't be the first to buy but I'm interested to hear reviews once it comes out.
If I'm faster and more precise with it, and the gun is reliable, then I don't care what it looks like, but actually, I think it is tough looking. I won't be a beta tester, but I think the gun is highly intriguing.
Appears, as best I can tell, that the rear sight is part of the breech block or rear of the slide similar to the Caracal.

There are some updates (as of October) to the article since June (http://www.defensereview.com/arsenal-firearms-strike-one-pistol-system-strizh-pistol-striker-fired-polymer-frame-9mm-parabellum9x19mm-nato-combattactical-pistol-with-ultra-low-bore-axis-meet-the-new-21st-century-russian/). Besides the obvious I wonder how it would compare to the CZ SP-01 Phantom (what I immediately thought of when seeing the "Strizh").

Looks like a Glock and an XDM full size had a threesome with an IPSC gun. Not sure I like it.

I actually really like it.

A competitive market is a good thing.Keeps everyone on their toes.
The looks kinda reminds me of a Kahr TP.
The description of the trigger is intriguing.
Pistol is very interesting, but I think it would be wise to wait some time and see how it will work. What we have here is "revolutionary design" from newcomer company.
This rings a bell for me, as we have one such case already with Grand Power K100 pistol (known as STI GP5/6 in US). Revolutionary design from newcomer company, supposed to "kill" competition in same areas that Strike One is aiming at. Only it is very hard to actually make it work reliable. Factory claims to have one with 100,000 rounds of flawless shooting. Nice, but every K100 in hands of my friends here was just barely able to have MTBS over 50 rounds.
I would not be overly excited about it until it actually is out and some track record is established.

I wish my G19 ejected that strongly and consistently.

Right... :suicide:
It's outward appearance actually reminds me of the Kel-Tec PMR-30.
