this was on a off road forum

and
http://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20120521/new-york-city/nypds-zero-tolerance-policy-lands-ohio-seminary-student-cell

all of us were saying how insane this is ! but then again it is NY where you cant even get a soda the size you want !

then one of the Australian guys mentioned how he and his buddy got searched and his buddy had a leatherman tool on him and got in trouble got it confiscated and had to go to court !

here is the link he posted
http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?Document_ID=26793

a quick snip of the link above
From 22 August 2010
You can be searched for knives in a public place anywhere, anytime, with and without notice.

If you are 16 and over and get caught carrying a controlled weapon such as a knife, you face an on the spot fine of $1,000, or you may have to go to court and face a fine of over $14,000 or one year imprisonment.

This penalty is doubled if you are inside or within 20 metres of a pub, club or bar.
From 1 January 2011

If you are under 18 you will no longer able to buy any type of knife, including kitchen knives or knives for school or work. To do so is against the law and you will face a $239 on the spot fine, or you could face court and a fine of over $1,400.

I really hope we dont get to where they are in Victoria !!

Are they allowed to buy those little plastic knives that come in the little boxes for picnics? I don't know, I guess you could make one sharp and pointy and poke someone in the eye with one. And I thought I had it bad in Ca. My Marxists aren't quite as insane and evil as their Marxists.

http://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20120521/new-york-city/nypds-zero-tolerance-policy-lands-ohio-seminary-student-cell

again was just repeating a post from another forum about stupid knife laws :)
did not know the George Was bridge was in NJ ? Again just reposting :)

The OZ thing shows where we are headed in my opinion :)

On the NYPD and NY link Someone also posted because of the zero tolerance this takes the power away from the NYPD officer using common sense and leaves them not being able to let some go ?
I dont know if thats true or not ? Just repeating from another forum

Just want to say this what happens when liberalism takes ahold in a country. You should see the graphics put on cigar boxes in australia even though cigar smoking is not even linked with lung or throat cancer.

It will happen here....liberals are mindless fools.

". . .and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks. . ."

In the UK they go has far as Knife Surrender Bins (http://content.met.police.uk/News/Knife-Surrender-Bin-makes-sharp-point/1300000724343/1257246745756)

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a144/AKS-74/knife_surrender_bin_london_united_kingdom_10-16-2006.jpg

Pay attention to the wording. . .

Although many were kitchen knives there were some far more sinister ones including flick knives, butterfly knives and combat knives.

"Get a life. Bin that knife". "Don't waste a life, bin that knife". "Surrender", "sinister", . . .

Comman sense/discretion never stopped me when I stopped a businessman carrying a unlicensed loaded 1911 on Tremont Ave and Jerome Ave Bronx NY. He was sent on his way with his pistol in his holster.

46 I take it? I think some folks in my company might still be there but it's been a while. Crazy place just like the other side of Webster was. Always advisable to carry a self defense tool in those areas.

I feel really sorry for all you folks behind enemy lines in NY, NJ, MA, CT, IL, CA, god forbid you poor guys in Europe. The legal crap you have to face is insane.

Remember, there are plenty of homes for sale in New Hampshire. We can open carry switchblade sword dagger SBR's, and we don't pay income tax :D

Amen to that. I continue to be amazed that people will subject themselves (in the USA) to living in such tryannical states. GET OUT and go someplace that respects you as a human being and doesn't treat you like a subject/slave. I can understand those in other countries who would have a much more difficult time defecting from tyrannical regimes, but in the US it's not that difficult to flee such absurdities.

I refuse to even visit places like NY or DC for the simple fact that they're grossly anti-American in their laws and how they view/treat their citizens. Screw them, I will never set foot in those kind of states.
