I've got a niche need and was wondering if anyone could point me in a good direction.

Currently i have a SKD PIG plate carrier with plates in it. I love love love it, and it is really comfortable. I run double decker (pistol on rifle) tacos on the front.

Im looking for an extremely inexpensive, low profile, concealable plate carrier. Basically my set up cannot be worn concealed and i do not want to buy new plates and a slick carrier. I was hoping for a cheap small PC that i could just pull the plates outta my PIG and slide them into that if i ever wanted to conceal my PC (as opposed to removing all my taco pouches which is enough to drive a man mad).

I would likely never ever use this, but if i could find something cheap then at least i would have the option. I understand that it wouldnt be quality at a low price, but i already have a quality set up so thats not a worry.

I would especially like one that has elastic/velco sides much like a soft armor concealable vest, just with sapi plate pockets...

Thoughts?

SKD Brigandine, sounds right up your alley.

You can conceal it with just soft armor or plates, even both. For rapid deployment throw it on with a chest rig and you're gtg.

This is why I went with the APC. If I ever wanted to run it slick, just take off the shoulder pads and run BFG 10 Speeds if I wanted the option to carry mags.

The SKD Brigandine is a good option as well

I'm running an old Blackwater/Uncle Mike's plate carrier for a similar use. It won't fit under a t-shirt, but is a lower profile when concealed under a medium-weight jacket. The shoulder straps and the rough carrier/plate outline would print under most button-up shirts.

It's $20 compromise. Actually mine has about $60 in it as I added a soft trauma pack, but the carrier was low cost.

The lowest price option I recall seeing lately was on Grey Ghost - http://www.greyghostgear.com/lastchance/mod-plate-carrier-acu. I don't have any experience with this item, but have found their gear a good value in the past.

That Omega Nitro one looked really tits but I don't remember hearing if anyone ever got one. Their website says call for pricing, so realistically it's expensive. However, it LOOKED like it fit the bill nicely for concealable plate carriers.

I'd see if Mayflower had something that fit your needs.

^ I have the MOLLE Rampage and while it's not svelte it could work under a jacket.

If you aren't picky on color (is it important on a concealment rig?) there are ACU and Black versions for $50 with $5 shipping.
