Want new upper

I bought a Colt Mod 614 full auto gun a couple of years ago and would like to get a mil spec upper with a 11" barrell for it to replace the old 16" SP1 upper. Any suggestions on a good place to get one from. Also I was told that since the lower is NFA papered I don't need to go through any additional red tape for the short barrell, hope that's true.

What you were told is true, you can put whatever length barrel on it you want. I would suggest a Colt 6933 or 6943 Commando upper. They are 11.5in barrels and are very accurate. Also they suppress very well.

No additional paperwork necessary on a registered machine gun.

LMT, Bravo Co, Daniel Defense, Colt, etc all make very nice and reliable SBR uppers in various sizes and lengths.

I'd begin my search with one of these.
