A year ago I started to build a SPR, I used a BCM upper receiver,BCM 18" SS410 barrel, 13in. VTAC battle rail, VLTOR SS gas block, BCM bcg. I have it all put together minus a scope and mount. In the process I lost my 800 yard range so I don't need the SPR. I still have my Savage if I need a precission rifle.
So what to do with the upper, cut it to 16" and reprofile it, or leave it the way it is and put a Aimpoint on and some irons and shoot it ?
I already have two other AR's a 14.5 and 16 in.

Thanks Scott

I wouldn't change it since you already have a couple other lengths. Find another range? :)

Another option is to sell it to fund other things such as ammo, training, different gun, NFA item, etc.

If you really don't need it, then sell it to finance another project or item. I surely wouldn't cut down a 18" barrel like that. Makes little sense.

keep it, if youre looking for a scope and mount i have one that was on my lmt mwse setup for same thing. otherwise id put an rds and 3x or a 1x4 scope and use it as a 3 gun setup.

That's what I did. Don't regret it in the slightest.

Keep it as is and pick an optic and start competing in 3Gun. Great 3 Gun setup. Even if you do not have 800m range, use what you have and practice shooting small.
