What kind of first aid are you looking for? Red Cross Basic (don't waste your time on this one) ? EMT-B? Something in between.

This link (https://vdhems.vdh.virginia.gov/ded/courseap.startup) goes to VA's office of Emergency Medical Services course finder. Just put the search info in to find EMR/FR (first responder-63+ hours) or EMT certification (144+) course in your area

I'd recommend looking into taking a Wilderness First Aid class. (http://www.nols.edu/wmi/courses/wildfirstaid.shtml) I volunteer with a local wilderness SAR team and this is a great course to take for those looking for more then basic first aid and who also like getting outdoors.

The REI store in Baileys Crossroads holds WFA classes, their September class is full: Click Here. (http://www.rei.com/class/5638/market/120) Check back with them for future classes. I've taken this classes and it's a lot of fun.
