Hey guys I'm new here and to assault rifles. I just bought myself a CXV model from them. Came with a lot of extras, and I fell in love when I held it. I know there is not much info on core 15 out there, well at least when I searched. So I plan to try and give my best dicription on this rifle. Sorry if this doesn't belong here.

How bout some more pics detailing the gun and inner components? I haven't seen too many of these core guns out in the wild.

I'm new to AR's too. I've stopped by Core's place...it's actually a gun shop and air boat store. they make and/or assemble the Core 15 rifles in the back. They seem nice but like I said I'm new here.
Enjoy it and go shoot it a lot and report back.

I bored and surfing the forums tonight...can't remember where I found it and on which gun site but there is a training instructor that was on a forum and has you tube vid's about various guns and he really like his Core15's. If I find it I'll pm you or post the info here.

I too would like to know more about this company,

What do you want to know about them. I am local and friends with the owner. There is another thread here referencing them. They have a lot of plans for the future and are looking at making some inroads here but have not been successful.

Proprietary BCG?

It's a piston gun. No more proprietary than any of the other piston guns on the market.

The piston system is made by Adams Arms for them. Going to the range today, let's see how I do.

I just didn't understand what could be proprietary about it :) I have no experience with piston rifles so its time for me to learn about this!

Thanks Dan...does Core15 manufacture there own parts or buy from other manufactures and assemble? I'd like to get a piston AR next.

Mounting a MBUS or any polymer front sight to the piston block is generally regarded as a pretty bad idea.

This.

Also, the thickness of the Magpul buttstock leads me to believe that it has a commercial receiver extension.
Do you know the specs of that?

Yes. In house they cut both billet and forged lowers, forged uppers, trigger guards (three types), billet charging handles and now they make barrel nuts from billet. They are working on making other items inhouse but at this point they are not.

They use the Adams Arms system for piston.

Any more question feel free to ask either through here or a PM.

Again I get nothing from this post
Again I don't work for them either.

The standard RE is commercial but they will do custom work if you want a .mil RE.

Thanks Dan...sounds good! Hopefully Core will get some more love on the forums and such....they seem like great quality. I guess they just have some low key marketing/advertising in magazines and forums.
