So my 9mm upper has been having some problems with double feeding lately so I was shooting it last night to try to figure out what was causing it. The gun jammed after a couple magazines and I went to clear what I assumed was a double feed, and did a double-take instead. Here's what I saw.

Something caused the screws holding the carrier key to shear off. I couldn't get the bolt to move while at the range, but I was able to remove the key once I got home without too much trouble, by dropping the magazine block.

So anyway, now I need to get a new 9mm bolt. Who sells ramped 9mm bolts?

Also, as an aside, is there any particular reason the carrier keys on 9mm bolts are screwed on instead of machined as an integral part of the bolt? I can see why they're a separate part on 5.56mm carriers but they're just a big nub on top of 9mm bolts. Having a part screwed onto the top of the bolt that could be eliminated seems like it would be an innovation someone should start selling.

ADCO sells ramped bolts or will ramp it for you.

I could use that messed up 9mm bolt on a project if your
looking to get rid of it.
I'am in the middle of building a upper that has the recoil spring built in and that bolt would work without the key.
