Well it went great this year.We had 32 shooters. We had a ton of sponsors for this match thanks to the work of 9x23guy who wrote a lot of letters and made a ton of phone calls. He has the list and I don't want to leave anyone off so I will let him reply with the sponsor list later when he gets a chance.
It was a two day match with 9 stages plus a bonus stage which was a mini match that did not count towards the main match. The mini match had shooters using a class three submachine gun that one of our shooters was nice enough to loan to us for the match. The winner of the mini match got a set of Vortex binoculars. One of my officers created a scoring program for me that worked great. We used time plus. We did have some rain but people kept smiling. I learn something new at every match the hard way and this time I found I need to test my stage before the match. I created a rifle stage where shooters had to shoot from several ports on three barricades from some akward shooting positions on MGM standard auto poppers, 6 inch auto poppers and 8 inch auto poppers from 100 yards to 170 yards. We had a 6 minute par time and about 70% of the shooters timed out. I think it was a good stage still but I should have cut back ont he number of shooting positions to speed the stage up so more people could finish under time.

My production division was a big hit again. The easiest way to explain this division is this. pistol rules are the same as limited 10 in uspsa. Use pretty much any non comped/optical sighted pistol you want but with 10+1 rounds, rifle is nearly the same as USPSA limited except 30 round mags or less only, shotgun is like heavy metal and must be a pump loaded with 9 rounds at the start and can load more after the buzzer. I had 10 shooters in this division. Tac optics and Open were the same as they are pretty much everywhere. With 17 shooters in tac optics and 5 in open. My R&R saiga dominated the shotgun stages in my friend 9x23guy's hands and I did pretty well with it myself. It went up against an Xrail and a few tube guns. Here are some match photos and the results. Next year we are doing the match on Memorial Day Weekend. I know Alaska is a long way for you guys but we have great fishing here in Seward and perhaps you could make a vacation out of it with a multigun match thrown in.
Here are some still photos of the match. I did not have time to do video or have someone video me. I took these photos of one of our local guys shooting.
