View Full Version : Recommend Me a Forum for Knives?

I guess this a little bit weird question-

I am looking for a forum to join for gathering knife/edged tool info.
I may be wrong, but seeing as how this is a forum dedicated mainly to firearms it seems a little lacking in in-depth knife info.

I was thinking of Bladeforums.
But then there's also Knifeforums.
Doesn't seem to be much on the search about either of these forums.
A person I talked to here has also recommended the ESEE forum.

Any of the above worth it?
Others I don't know about?

On a side note, where'd Knife Tests go to? Seems to have dissappeared....

Bladeforums is good. Also, the Swamp Rat knife forum is good.

USN - Usual Suspects Network also has a lot of info regarding knives.

BF has a sub-forum entitled Knife Reviews and Testing.

USN- Usual Suspect Network, for me there is no better all around forum on the web. Lots of knife specific stuff, coupled with great sub forums about all kinds of other great info. I come here for carbine and handgun info, but for virtually everything else it's USN.

I'm a new guy around here (Lurking and learning), but as the other posters suggested, Bladeforums or Usual Suspect Network are good places to go. Like any forum, read the stickies in each forum so you can learn which forum will suit your needs.

I'm not married- they're all fair game!

To be fair, I don't see this as that sort of situation- it's more like going straight to a source, or seeing a different doctor for a second opinion.
I came here for AR, handgun, general firearms/accessories, training info, and a set of like-minded folk.
I went over to Snipershide when I became interested in precision marksmanship- not that there aren't plenty of experts here who I have, and will continue to solicit, but because SH is focused specifically and in depth on that one thing.

Or something like that....

I'm assuming this is the USN site- http://usualsuspect.net/

No.
Honestly, haven't heard of it except in passing.
Won't let me view the contents without logging in- what all is on there? Mostly knife oriented? Or kind of a little of everything?

Yes, there are no "preview" or "sneak peek" into USN. It's quite an active and friendly atmosphere that is directed towards knives and knife related gears/equipment/maintenance/tools etc.

There's about 24 Headings/Forums related to knives and/or specific knives, and within some of these Headings/Forums there are some 97 Sub-Forums all knife related.

There are Knife Manufacturers, Knife Makers, and Knife Dealers along with specific type of knife or use of knife with their own section for discussion.

If one is looking for other non-knife related subjects, it can also be had within the other forums and sub-forums on the USN.

The first time I heard and learned of Strider Knives was from a member on CPF that introduced me to the USN.
