This rifle came to be because I had entered into the NFA world, SBR'd the lower I currently had and got a MK18 upper from a member of the M4c community. My set-up at the time was a BCM 14.5 pinned BC..I had the need to run Surefire muzzle devices in order to mount the Surefire FA556-212 suppressor so rather then ruining the BC that was pinned on the 14.5 I sold it, bought a new stripped lower and a standard 16 inch upper and this rifle was born.
This rifles main purpose will be training.
here are the specs,
16 inch mid-length BCM upper, BCM BCG, and BCM gunfighter med latch charging handle.I chose BCM because of the stellar rep for being quality..
PSA Lower receiver, PSA lower parts kit, including MOE trigger guard, and pistol grip..But I think I may change to the BCM gunfighter grip, Because I like the angle of the MOE K but its kinda skinny, so the bulk of the BCM is appealing. Hopefully someone will have one at the Vickers class this weekend..PSA was used because previous experience with their lowers was good, and the trigger isnt that bad.
Magpul ACS-L because I wanted a little more cheek weld, have been using a CTR alot, and didnt want the battery tubes the STR offers
Springco Blue spring, H buffer, mil spec PSA buffer tube
Troy BUIS because I had them left over from another rifle
Aimpoint T-1, had an Eotech xps, but I have astigmatisim and the T1 is alot more durable I think and has superior battery life
NOVESKE NSR 13.5 I wanted to use this rail because I dont really need what a traditional quad rail offers, but require to reach out farther on the handguard then the mid MOE handguard allows.I had previously used a 13 inch VTAC alpha handguard, and this is lighter and offers modularity
HSP dropwing scout mount was used due to the fact that it gets the white light off of the handguard, and allows me to keep the same grip on the fore end of the rifle when shooting from the support side.
Surefire M300 was used because it will last along with the rifle, and if it craps out Surefire will take care of me, the light is powered on and of via the SR07 switch which allows the activation of the light with very slight movement and applied pressure from the thumb clamped over the bore
Surefire MB556 break, used to mount the can, and keep muzzle flip to a minimum
