Im looking at loading up some of the Barnes 62gr TTSX ( Tipped triple shock) with probably some Varget or the new CFM223 powder.
Have any of you guys tried this ??

I run it with 26gr of TAC; 2850 fps from my BCM 14.5"

I loaded a batch with Varget recently. Min load for Varget with this bullet is 23.5gr/2807fps and max is 25.5gr/3021fps. I ended up at max with no signs of over-pressure. It was most accurate for me at 25.0gr Varget so I plan to load the rest with that charge. I was using a 5.56mm 16" 1/7 twist barrel. Hope this helps.

I load the 62 gr TSX over 24.6 gr Varget. That gave me best accuracy. Max load is about 25.5 gr.

have you Chronoed the load?

I have not chronoed the TSX load yet. I actually use the same powder load with 62 gr FMJ and 60 gr Nosler BT. I'm not at my computer so don't have the velocity handy but it was less than 50 fps slower than QuickLoad predicted out of my 16" barrel. IIRC it was about 2,750 fps or less. I'll post the actual when I am back at the desk. So far QL has been very close to actual velocity for 55 and 62 fmj and 68 gr BTHP.
