Ok Guys, I finally have a AR which can shoot pretty good. I am in need of a rest for it at the range. Being that The AR is not shaped like a normal bench rest rifle what are you using for rests or bags at the range?

I use two bank coin bags filled with sand. Works well for me.

I recently picked up an MTM predator rest from Midway for around $40.00. It is fairly adjustable for length of rifle and height and will accomodate an AR with 20 round mag. I have not had a chance to actually use it yet and will post a report when I do.

ETA: The rear rest detaches to use as a pistol rest. Unit is also lightweight and has a carry handle.

I use one of those Caldwell Shooting bags I bought a long time ago from Cabelas.

Mine was about $14 and came unfilled, so I just filled it with rice.

It works very well.
