The Sad Case of Santa's Unclaimed Ashes...

At the Chapel of the Pines Crematory in Los Angeles, in addition to the rows of cremation niches and memorial plaques for such famous individuals as Nigel Bruce and Willis O'Brien there is an "off limits" vaultage area which stores abandoned cremated remains.

Among the notables in abandoned storage are Edmund Gwenn who played Kris Kringle in Miracle on 34th Street (1947), Helen Chandler who played Mina in Dracula (1931) and Lionel Atwill (who had roles in several Universal Horror films as well as Sherlock Holmes films).

Wow, I wind up watching at least part of that movie every year because of family. I never would have dreamed he was left like
