I recently picked up my first AR-15 and took it out to sight it in. Everything worked great and I was able to get it sighted in fine but I'm a little concerned about the adjustments that had to be made on the front sight.
I'm using the F markes FSB that came on the gun and a Magpul rear sight. The front sight post had to be raised to a point where it is barely inside of the protective ears of the sight. See the photos below for reference.

In the second photo I'm trying to show that it does not actually protrude outside of the protective ears.
Is this normal? Is it something I should even be worried about?
