Most of the kydex sheaths ive seen are made with Tek Lok. I carry my fixed knife just about everywhere and need a good kydex sheath with a strong clip. Any makers out there?

Unless they do custom sheaths, their website says they use Tek Lok.

Look at RDR custom. If Jeff doesn't already make it, he will work with you to do so.

Seems like this is all I say.. DIY.

Knife sheaths, in particular, are caveman simple. KnifeKits.com sells a variety of both sheath kits and various belt loops that will probably fit your need.

Ive experimented with bolting on KABAR's TDI Belt Clip thing to my Kydex. Not impressed. Bent outward against a JT EDB and did not consistently engage softer 1.75" belts. Would not recommend.

Have used KnifeKit's S-Clips. Very much like them. They take well to reshaping with a hair dryer, file down smooth, bolt holes have not opened up after extensive use and though its a bit of a bitch to get them on compared to my favorite MALICE clips, they stay in place, doesnt matter what youre doing. Would recommend the S-Clips. Sounds like just what youre looking for.. If youre willing to DIY.

Hmmm, interesting. Hope my old lady won't mind if I overtake the oven for awhile?

If you want to save a little money, maybe integrate the belt loops into the sheath if you dont plan on needing versatility of attachment type, you can make the loops out of Kydex as well, and integrate them or just bolt em on. Also very easy to do, but as always, order more than you think you need. Your third set of loops will be better than your second, which will be better than the one before it, and so on and so on.

Take a look at the "How to make a Kydex holster" thread for good advice on molding belt loops.

If you'd like S or J-clips style ones, remember to finish the edges BEFORE molding them. You will have a tough time if you are even able to file or sand down the edges after rolling it onto itself.

I can recommend Dave Brown at http://www.buybrownholsters.com/

... he's a stand up guy and can do pretty much anything in kydex. Might have to send the knife to him depending on what it is.

I have a strider DB IWB sheath from him. Works great.

Send an email to Nick, he's the man when it comes to knife sheaths.

I have one for my cold steel brave heart and blood shark.

They are literally awesome.

Well, I'm about to switch to a LionTribe custom knife. It comes with a TekLok sheath, which I'll place on my duty belt. But I'd like to have a belt clip/loop for when I go to Poland.

Thanks for the suggestions so far fellas. Now I have to find one that'll get it done by the time I leave.

Try this guy: EDC Holsters (http://www.facebook.com/pages/EDC-holsters/183368308400728)

He'll make it to your specs.

I agree with the post above.. Get yourself a kit from knife kits and make your own. Would be a benefit if you did it yourself. Would or could become a second income when you show off to friends. They would want you to start making one for their knives or guns!
