My son asked me to send this out:

Hi everybody,

I only have 78 more days before we walk. I don't know what to say. I'm hoping that 10 people give $100 or 20 people give $50 or 100 people give $10. I would like to have $1000 by Sunday night. Please help if you can.

I really appreciate your generosity!!

He's trying to get the fund raising kick started again. The weather has really slowed him down this summer.

I will match the first $50 donation from a member of this board. That will get Tomas jumpstarted with $100.

Anybody want to ante up?

Done here as well.

You folks need to wander down to Texas. Your daughter can coach my daughter on shooting; while you, me and Tomas eat BBQ and load magazines. ;)

Thanks....that sounds like a good idea but or AC died on us last month so we are cutting back on travel this year...

Is your daughter shipping during the first part of September? You have a lot to be proud of.

That is the cunning plan. She's up to 5 miles on the long runs, and the swimming is coming along fairly well. Situps are already maxed, and we are working on pullups as well.

Next week we'll start sprints for speed at the end of her run.

Hi guys,

Tomas is entering his final week for this year's fund raising in support of the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. He hasn't made his goal yet and he and his sister plan on expanding house visits the next 4 days. Next Thursday, 18 October at 08:10 he and his sister will be doing an interview at a local Country & Western Radio Station:

The walk is on Saturday the 20th. All are welcome to come, I will need numbers and t-shirt sizes as soon as possible.

Tomas' sister Tereza (Midshipmen at George Washington University) will sing the National Anthem.

Senator Wittman did accept Tomas invitation.

Tomas sends his thanks for all of your continued support.

Tomas completed his 6th 'Team Tomas' Light The Night walk last Saturday. The week before he walked at the DC walk with Walter Reed.

The first picture is Tomas with Congressman Wittman. tomas invited him to the walk.

The second picture is Tomas' sister...the Midshipman singing the National Anthem.

The third picture is stepping off on the walk. Tomas maintained point for the whole walk. 60 people walked with Team Tomas, somewhere between 500-600 total attended.

This is a very good video of what Tomas & Anna have been involved in for the past 5 plus years. This was their 6th walk (Tomas' 7th he did a walk in D.C. the week before). Team Tomas is shown from 2:23-2:30 on the video.

I took Tomas to Walter Reed last Friday for his check up. It involves a physical and a complete blood count (CBC). For the first year off of treatment we went every month, the second year we went every other month. Here's the doctor's email from Friday afternoon:

Here is Tomas's lab results. No changes from last time. Increased eosinophils due to allergies. Congratulations on getting to two years off therapy. The relapse risk at this point is miniscule. We will see him every 3 months now and will see him in beginning of february.
