Hi, Im new to AR/M4 and would like to seek help from you guy's out there.

First I'm from Asia and it's hard for me to contact directly the Bushmaster factory or office. I'm getting my first AR/M4 to someone who is selling his unit, now i would like to know if this is authentic BUSHMASTER or not. He sent me some photo of his unit.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Bushmaster Law Enforcement Carbine 11.5"
Serial no. "B" prefix afaik bushmaster has "L" and "BFI" prefix only or maybe im wrong since he's a LEO so he got "B" pefix

Guys, remember, in places like the Philippines it is relatively easy to get a full auto, the issue is that there isn't the same kind of brand availability in the general market as there is here.
Chastising the brand isn't doing much for the guy other than wasting his time reading comments about parts that he can't get.

isnt it illegal for that to be in private hands overseas unless used by LE or military?

Op-
The only thing that looks off to me is the irregular look of the anodizing on the left side of the lower receiver by the receiver end plate. However, since these were export guns it its entirely possible that QC didn't care about that.

If you do pick it up, stake the castle nut.
The shorty BMs tend to be overgassed, so you might want to drop in a new action spring and an H2 or H3 buffer, especially if you have access to good ammo.

Checked your pics against some of my archived pics. A few more would be helpful, but there are no real red flags, several variables match, and you likely have a BM product. I would email your serial number to BM for verification. They can tell you what configuration the gun left in, and verify it was an export.

It looks authentic to me.

Thats what on my mind after googling BM since last night, afaik this is old BM and owner Anodized it. but sad part it wasn't done it right. So the markings look not swollen, unlike new BM you can seen that markings are bit swollen.

Hope any BM representative verified this.

Yes im a Filipino, and i know a lot of fake BM are in here, i even seen one before, but this looks different compare to the fake i had before.

Here's the FAKE BM i've seen before:

Note: No. "3" in CAL. 223 shown is different from the one i posted above, this one looks rounded no.3 Also the "MM" the other one is far off from each other.

We dont really see fakes here in the states as far as I know.

Nothing seems to stand out.

It would be hard for any of us to even notice if the letters looked off without comparing to a bushmaster from the same year.

Your best bet is to contact bushmaster.

Based on a Bushmaster I used to own but no longer have, this looks basically correct. The only thing that seems wrong is the unevenness in the lower receiver between the takedown pin and the castle nut. The one I had (2008 production) had a receiver with a very flat and regular, although very dull, surface finish. The other thing I'm unsure of is the quality of the markings - the genuine (from factory to distributor to trustworthy dealer to me) Bushmaster I owned had fairly rough markings, that looked like a die had literally been hammered into the metal. The photo you show appears as if it might be a machined marking instead (very common on newer/nicer lowers and easy to do with modern equipment). I don't know whether Bushmaster ever used machined markings.

If you can contact the BM factory that's your best bet. As you may know, Bushmaster is now a brand of Cerberus (seemingly a marketing name for Remington) and is now made in Ilion NY, not Windham Maine. If the current Bushmaster can't help you, it might be worth calling Windham Weaponry, which has the owner and employees of the original Bushmaster but is a separate company. I'm going to guess they don't have any of the actual records of Bushmaster, however.
