Hi all. I have moved out of California and want to replace the bullet button on my Colt M4. Any thoughts on a good replacement? Stick with original or something else. Thanks very much.

far9mm, he said he moved OUT of the PRK, not into. ;) 3GunRookie, go with a standard mag release and enjoy being free.

Apologies for the "dumb" question, but is all I need the actual exterior release button? Or has big brother put something else in there that I need to account for?

As an aside, Canada has banned any rifle mags holding more than 5 rounds. Handguns are able to hold a max of 10 rounds. The outcome? A innovative company decided produce a "pistol" 10 round, .223 cal mag that fits the AR. Hmmmm

Michael

Should just be the button, though it might be easier to find the entire assembly.

You may also need a new spring, too. It depends on which bullshit button kit you had. Some have short springs, others use the standard spring. You may also encounter locktite, so a little heat from a soldering iron makes life easy.
