So the obvious questions would be...

Is the gun shop also selling TVs on Amazon?

Was it actually addressed to the guy in DC?

I once sold a 6920 to a customer in OK and it ended up in CA. It took me almost a year to get it returned and then shipped to the customer. In that case it was suspected that somebody at FedEx deliberately added a shipping label to the CA address and that person wanted a "reward" to return it to me.

Within a few days the local PD had possession of the rifle and it only took ATF a couple months to investigate and determine no wrong doing on my part. But getting a CA PD to ship a Colt rifle back to me took much, much longer.

I saw that story earlier and it must be bullshit. Since when does Amazon sell firearms or related items ? And then it just gets sent out to some random address in D.C. ? bullshit !!!!

It was a third party seller through Amazon. Lots of firearms shops sell accessories this way. Not firearms themselves, but damn near everything for them.

could be a BS story ?

could be a mix up of address from UPS we get our neighbors stuff when our regular guy is not around ?

That's how one of my 6920s sent to OK ended up in CA. Only in that instance I think it may have been deliberate on the part of a FedEx employee.
