12 October-Long Range Carbine
This course will cover the use of the carbine for long range shooting from 200-700 yards from practical rifle shooting postions
The course will cover the following and more:
Fundamentals of long range marksmanship
Equipment set up
Correction for trajectory and environmental conditions
Use of ballistic software
Observation of trace and correcting for windage and elevation
Shooting from natural terain (other than prone bipod shooting)
Range estimation using mil relation formula
What to bring:
Carbine or AR-15 platform and ammo capable of 1-1.5 MOA (Contact me if you need ammo I can get a decent price on 77 grain)
Bipod(optional) 20 rnd mag(optional)
30 rnd mag
Shooting mat (optional)
Spotting scope if you have it (optional)
Clear eye protection and hearing protection
