View Full Version : My GSG-5
Well the wait is finally over! I got a handful of these in (not my full order) and decided to dress one up a bit. I had some HK (B&T) mounts in stock and put them on GSG to see if they fit (they do).
The overall feel of the GSG-5 is nice and doesn't feel "cheap" to me in the least. The trigger is lacking, but kind of expected that.
Reliability with CCI ammo has been good for me so far.

What type of accuracy were you seeing out of the gun?

Too cold here to shoot for groups (sorry). I don't think the weapon is going to be a anything precision oriented.

if you've got the low profile aimpoint mount, you can see the irons through the T-1.

Had that mount on the weapon as well. It does allow you to co-witness with a Mico Aimpoint.

Most likely (to some extent), but I wouldn't spend all that money. Just wait and there will be parts for this gun (Stock, Rails, mounts, etc).

That looks really nice. Did you receive enough guns to cover your existing orders? What about spare mags? I think I agree with not putting high dollar HK parts on this gun. Keeping it inexpensive is the whole point behind buying this thing. Can't wait to try one out.

No. We did get spare mags.
Using cheaper mounts and rails on the gun is kind of the idea, but I didn't have any of those in stock and did have the good stuff so I just stuck it on.

I think American Tactical is the importer- you have an "ATI Rochester NY" on the side of your magwell (left side.)

Yes I am just confirming with you that is where they all should have come from, including Grant's shipment...... but who knows, maybe his came from somewhere else.
ATI is a sister company of AMCHAR the CEO for both is the same guy.

Grant, what configurations will the next models be available in and also what line of accessories will be made available? I saw something on the German website that telescoping stocks, claw mounts and other accessories will be coming soon....do you or any other dealers have any information on the line accessories for it?

There is only one config. Rails, mounts and stocks will be available later.
No other dealers are going to have any other info because nothing has been released yet.
