suppressor QD question

can someone please show me a link to something that explains what i need to put a suppressor on my 5.56, also i have seen how the YHM has the QD that you just screw the suppressor on the flashhider area. can someone explain how that QD is installed on the front of the barrell, as in did you take off your current flash hider and put the QD mount on like a flash hider then you can just screw your suppressor on.

Remove flash hider(unscrew) then screw on QD mount per manufacturer instructions ....that's it

There plenty of QD models and direct thread on models on the market. Many folks prefer QD for use on Semi Autos or if swapping to multiple host rifles. Many bolt action shooters don't mind thread on cans.
