Going to be taking a carbine course and talking with the instructor he recommond this kit. Granted I'm a switch hitter right handed with pistol and left handed with riffle.
"If you plan on doing 3-gun or starting to take more training classes / real defense, then a belt like a High Speed Gear Sure-Grip Padded Belt with two "TACO" Modular Single Rifle Magazine Pouchs on the right side all the way forward and 1x Double HSGI Taco on the left side then a Mag-Net dump pouch on the outside left of the double taco with "Pistol TACO" Single Universal Pistol Magazine Pouch on the front left. This would cover a belt with 4x carbine mag’s and 2x pistol mag’s and a place to put your partial used mag’s after a tac reload and so on. The great thing about the HPGI Taco’s is no matter the carbine’s mag type, these pouches will work. So you buy 1 mag pouch for the Ar-15 and the mag’s for the M1A will work also, so it’s a dual use setup.
As a holster, go with the G-Code XST RTI level 2 for this kind of setup with the RTI duty mount This will lower the pistol and allow clearance for a clean draw. "
