Can someone indulge my stupidity for not being able to confirm whether the NXS Compact 2.5-10 is FFP or not? If it's not, does that mean it needs to be at 10x for proper mil/moa measurements?

Sorry for the dumb question, but it's bugging the hell out of me that I can't find out for sure..

It's SFP, so yes it need to be at 10X for the reticle to read true.

If you can afford it, the USO SN-3 1.8-10X Slimline is a Nightforce killer, and it's FFP.

Appreciate the response..

I know USO is quite a step up from NF, and that 1.8-10 does look amazing, but I think it'd be overkill for me and the shooting I do. Hell, the NF is probably overkill, but it might just barely be manageable.

I think the NF is gonna work even with the SFP. It looks like I can do pretty simple math to use the 2.5x and 5x settings so I think that'll be ok. For 1-300 yards and the occasional try at 600 it should be more than enough scope for me.

Thanks again!

I run mine at 6x in the longer range 3G matches and have my software tweaked to match.

Like was said its a second focal plane scope. This is one that I wish was FFP. But its still a very usable scope. The BDC in mine matches up to the actual muzzle velocity of Hornady 155 grain tap out of my rifle (duty ammo) so its perfect for my uses.
