Out of all my ARs, my KISS, Parts Bin, Ugly Runt of an SBR is my favorite:

7.5 Noveske Diplomat Barrel, in a 9inch Troy TRX.

She gets different Stocks, Optics and Buis whenever I have another build going.

They are. It helps, after about 200rds, the TRx gets hot through gloves!

If the TRX gets that hot even through gloves, why not put a VFG or something on there to get your hand off the barrel? Or do you just not like the feeling of a VFG?

would it be too much to ask that this thread be 86'd? i don't see the value in it (how many picture threads do we have already...?) and, quite simply, it is a waste of bandwidth, especially for those (like myself) who are stuck trying to read through the site on very slow internet connections, due to location.

I knew a department that was using the shown 6.5" barreled OA M16s, and couldn't figure out why they wouldn't run. This was 14 years ago or so, waaay before people were using ultra short barrels and companies like Noveske had them figured out.

This is a brand new factory gun. I thought this thread was all about unusually strange AR's made from random parts that had seen some serious abuse? (Like the first post.)

That is the OA-98 from Oly Arms. A ban compliant pistol. They swiss cheesed it to get it under the max weight for a detachable mag.

The color of the upper receiver and extension match as perfectly as you can get, but the lower does seem to be a good bit off. If it matched the upper and RE, it would look really sweet. Still a nice Colt. Not a fan of the mag, though.

Looks are subjective, but I don't recall hearing reliability issues about those pistols. Then again, most people probably weren't shooting them very often, and they weren't a very common piece.

It's an Olympic OA-98 post-ban pistol. All the cutouts are to help lower the weight below 50 ounces. During the AWB, if a semi-auto pistol was more than 50 ounces, it was a banned assault weapon.

Ugly as sin, but never had a hiccup with 5,000+ rounds and all the hours training with it. Best part is that I built it with the money I've had on hand, bit by bit, and only have about $900 in it and some accompanying gear. I'm saving up what I should spend on it for a good class.
