View Full Version : Lafayette Gun Club Member? (Virginia)
Are you a Lafayette Gun Club member?
Did you realize they have a discussion forum?
http://www.lgcforum.org/forum
It's certainly no competition for m4carbine.net, but is simply a place to discuss club issues.
Looks like you have to be a member to register?

Yeah, it's basically a place for club members to discuss club stuff.
Ok. Do they have any plans for any upgrAdes of any type?
I'm looking to join though I'm sure there is a wait.
I had an application all filled out and ready to send in, but I won't be here come May so I didn't want to pay for the whole year. That and a buddy has some land that we shoot on, though not nearly as much as I'd like.

I know there are some plans, but I don't know how detailed they are yet, and I don't know the extent.
I haven't been to the board meetings where the things are discussed.
Turns out I'm taking an extra semester at school so I'll probably be dropping my application in January. I really like the 24 hour pistol range. Does anyone have any idea on how long it takes to process?
Just went through the orientation on Wednesday. Any other members here besides the obvious?

Whats it cost? I live nearby and have thought about joining, but hear its pricey.

All said and done, $395 for a new member I believe, unless your AD enlisted. Definitely pricey, but the options to shoot here are so limited and I really like the 24 hour pistol range. Annual fees are a little over $100 IIRC.

Price is very comparable to the Marksman which is a 25 yd indoor range only with limited hours (1000 to 2000). Lafayette gives you a 25 Yd Indoor, 50 Yd outdoor 100M outdoor and sporting clays. If you are going to join need to do it soon. Looks like they are going to freeze membership. First year is a little steep with the initiation fee and the $150-200 annual dues. I've been a life member for almost 20 years so my knowledge of the annual due is at best dated.

That's true, I forgot they mentioned that.

They're definitely not as relaxed as Camp Allen, but obviously much wider array of facilities. I'm seriously debating heading over there now to run some rounds through my 1911 since .45 isn't as hard to find as 9mm.
