I'm looking to spend some Tax money for a new AR I'm looking at a stag arms lefty mainly because I have a M42000 supressor processing and I'm looking to keep as much gas out of my face as possible,I've looked at the piston uppers but the wait is a killer. The lefty uppers any good?

I had one. It was ok nothing spectacular. I bought it since I'm a lefty in the end I ended up selling it since there really is not reason for left handed AR.

Replaced mince with an LMT.

I'm a lefty too, and I've never really seen the need for a left-handed AR. I think the AR-15 is one of the most "lefty-friendly" designs ever.

I'm not sure I understand how a left-handed AR would keep more gas out of your face than a standard-configuration rifle would when using a suppressor. In my (admittedly limited) experience, most of the gas seems to come out around the charging handle.

I've fondled and shot one but didn't become particularly impressed.
You'll get leftside ejection and a forward assist, but that's about it for what you can have on a righthanded AR too and I prefer the rightside forward assist myself so my lefthand never has to leave the grip.

As a lefty I've never had any problems with righthanded AR's, M4's and M16's in ejection or the forward assist, but heavier gas blowback and DI are just the way it is.
If you want less of it the best thing you could do is forget the DI operating system since you have the option today and get yourself a piston AR.

Not only will you get less gas blowback, but you'll get a much cleaner, cooler, smoother running, and easier to maintain AR.
The ambi (lefty) controls which are the most important I find are easily put on like an ambi safety, Badger Ordnance ambi charging handle, plus Norgon mag release or extended bolt stop if you want them.

I wonder if these would be good for a righty, in the same ways as a lefty 870?

I've got a L/H Stag. Its ok So Far. Nowhere anywhere near enough rds through it to have a legitimate opinion on it. Regardless, not likely something I'd use on duty. But it is nice to have.

I build all of my personal guns using Stag uppers and thier BCG.
,with an assortment of othere Manufactures barrels. The only thing I could think of would be if a KABOM, and I would hope that would never happen. At first it was hard to get use to, but I love them now.:D
