View Full Version : Lake City Ammo
Just purchased this from PSA: http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/lake-city-5-56-nato-62-grain-xm855f-fmj-not-on-10-round-clips-in-ammo-can-of-420rds.html
For storage in sealed ammo container. Interestingly the can that actually arrived has the same label but says its on stripper clips instead of not. Is this still first run stuff?
that LC X was seconds-the 308 I bought was listed as training only-
If it ain't pretty, it will kick off the line
Same ammo, just packaged differently. Boxes vs stripper clips. The letters behind the XM855 designate the packaging. It's good stuff.
Should be fine. Usually there are imperfections with the XM, but unless the case has a serious deformity there is likely no need to worry.
looks like the stuff that I have,, If so, it's fine... Ron

Ammoman's website says theirs is brand new 2012 production and they go to great lengths to say it is up to NATO specs and whatnot.
(I know cuz I just ordered some). :D
I've always heard that with the XM stuff you just QC every round for gross deformities or defects, reject the obvious ones, and rock on.
Never had any issues with Lake City and I have shot boatloads of it. I can't remember any of it being AE marked though. It has always had Federal packaging.
How much were they selling the 420 round cans for?
