View Full Version : Possible purchase of a desert eagle. Questions on value?
My buddy has a connection and there's a .50 cal desert eagle I'm thinking about purchasing. It's a black .50 has a 2lbs trigger job. About what would the value be with one of these used with the upgrade?
Please no "you don't need that gun it's to much" and responses like that. Just keep with the subject please!
If there is room for active negotiation, would probably throw $750 out there to start and see what kind of reaction it got.
Well like I said my buddies got a hookup. And it's a real good one. He told me $600. He's got it for $900 but will sell it to my buddy for 6. It's black and I've always wanted a nickel one so I was curious what value it had so I could upgrade to exactly what I wanted one day.

value is between 1100 and 1300 depending on when it was made.
for 600, you can have it nickel plated... just saying.

I can have it nickel plated afterwards? What do you think that would cost?
I am guessing the hookup is an individual who got offered $600 from a retailer (who will likely sell for $900). $750 is a good price for an private seller to take over a dealer and that is why I through it out there, didn't expect it to be actually offered at $600 since people seem to think stuff they use should retain value and any customization is retail + retail value of customization. Seems like a reasonable guy I will say.
Yea his buddy owns a shop and since their friends he gets a good hookup. Actually just got my Daniel defense upper V1 $890 out the door

600 for a desert eagle is a hell of a deal. If you decide you dont' like it you can flip it and make money.. go for it!
Think that's what I'll do. My buddy will be comin home in a few weeks so if he still hasn't in a week or so I think I'll get get

been a long time since I had something nickeled... I would guess in the neighborhood of a pair of franklins.
There is only one reason to buy a DE - and it's to have a bunch of fun putting large holes in stuff at the range - at that price, ammo doesn't seem like the insult to injury anymore - I'd go for it.
Yeah $600 is a super good deal. Most I've seen run $1k and up.
