Gents Ive got a Whirlpool washer thats about 4-5 years old. Been running like a champ till a minute ago.l I noticed it was taking a long time to fill up on the rinse cycle. Sure enough, on all cycles water in the tub drains out as sooon as its comes in. In other words, the tub will not retain water to fill up to run.
Any ides/thoughts on what the problem is, and a rough estimate on cost to fix?
I sure appreciate any help.

If you'd have gone with the Colt we wouldn't be having this discussion.. ;).. hahahahahaha.. Ron

...... You got a drain valve/relay staying open dude.. locate it, stick a multi-meter on it and see what's going on..

Thanks for that info sir. Ill try to locate the valve.

It'll be on or just before the drain/discharge. It should open and close with applied voltage. Clip on the multi-meter, set for 150 volts and turn the washer on.. That'll tell you if the valve/relay is bad or the controller.. Ron

Ron's on it. Either way, cheap and easy. Report back. Make sure if you replace either part that they're hpt/mpi.
