Finally, after waiting 3 weeks, my new operator got to my FFL today and I went picked it up. Its brand new, never been fired outside of the factory, and is absolutely perfect. a full rail operator has been on my wish list since I first started shooting 1911s. Anyways, first thing I did when I got home was tear it down, re-lube it, fit a 10-8 flat trigger and put her back together. I havn't decided if I am going to shoot it and mod it, or possibly sale it. Anyways, on to the pics.

Nice! Didn't realize you could still special order one. Might have to get a backup for mine...(now also sports a 10-8 flat trigger)

Those different than the standard TRP grips? I like the looks of them with that scallop in them. Looks like it would make hitting the mag release easier.

How do you go from the first bold, to the second bold?!

Looks like an awesome piece, shoot the hell out of it

I was thinking the same. If you have been wanting one for a while, keep it. If you sell it, you'll regret it. That full rail 1911 will be a tack driver.

the grips were off of my old SS TRP. I cut the scallop into them, and pretty much all of my grips.

Congrats on the purchase. I love my full rail TRP and would never sell it.

Nice TRP's, cool pics.

Q: What's the weight of the full-rail TRP? Looks like that bad boy is heavy.

i believe just the gun is 42oz. with the light and a full mag, it is very heavy. Not a carry gun

My full rail trp has been my friend for a while now. It's a great pistol and if you run out of ammo you can use it as a blunt weapon in a pinch. The chip 10's i had were the older ones so i had to dremel down the top of the bumper for them to seat right. Every now and then theres a failure to feed on the 10's since the tip of the follower may sometimes protrude to far out. Hilton yam has a good article(s) on it. I also have the 10-8 rear sight on it, but just remember to hit the screw with some locktie... my rear sight flew off one time because i forgot the blue superglue....

Nice. Will have to look into that. I like the look of that and it does appear to be something that would help in hitting the mag release.
