I was sighting in a new optic on my wife's AR (run-of-the-mill BCM middy AR)and because it was way the hell off I wound up shooting 40+ rounds of grey poly coated Tula steel case thru the rifle before switching to my normal brass case PMC.

I was expecting a divide by zero error given the steel case followed by brass but nothing abnormal happened. All the rounds ejected normally, no stuck cases, no gnashing of teeth, no stock mortaring or rod down the bore.

Why didn't the brass cases stick? What am I doing wrong?

Why bother posting a perceived problem when there isn't one? Everything functioned as not expected? Keep shooting it and tell us when a problem actually rears its ugly head.

The brass cases didn't get stuck because you only fired a meager 40 rounds of that sub par s%$t. Put some Champagne through it. Not mad dog.

You are wasting bandwidth with this silliness.

When one of the rounds gets stuck in your chamber because it's way out of spec, and you have to force it out with a cleaning rod and a hammer, you'll realize what you did wrong.
