Is that a SBR , seems like a lot of flash for a 5.56 rifle.

Mini Comp or not, what was the round?

Mark picked up a brake just to check it out. It worked good, felt like my battle comp or AAC BRAKE. THEN IT GOT DARK, we just busted out laughing when the Fourth of July celebration took off.

It was comical night shooting that thing. Interesting. My double chamber AAC brake was better than single chamber and then battle comp did a very good job. It appears the more ports it has to fight, the better flash suppression.

We shot well over 500 rounds last night. It was good American fun. :D

in my limited experience, brakes with large ports have a lot of flash at night. here's a couple of pics of the AAC brakeout on a 16" SCAR-L; it was just as spectacular.

My RMC throws a heck of a fireball with 5.56. It makes me feel like I'm in a Michael Bay movie every time I run drills with it.

My Battlecomp 1.0 produces quite a bit of flash in the dusk hours. I have a couple still images of it somewhere, but I don't believe it is quite that pronounced :)

That pic represents EXACTLY what we could see with the naked eye. It is incredible. 55 gr FMJ with WC 846 military powder. 25.0 grains.

Incredible. This thing is fun.

Yep.. 11.5" Sabre Defence. The pic is a still from a video, but it's no exageration of what we saw with our eyes. It was comical.

... and people wonder why the military generally doesn't run brakes on unsuppressed rifles.

If I can get the video to work, I'll post it. It's hilarious.

I was just wondering, where do you shoot? I grew up in AZ and we used to shoot in the San Tan mountains back then but now all the places I used to shoot are state parks where no one can shoot anymore.

That's awesome.

I can't wait to shoot it again. I have to get this thing on a full auto lower soon.

Florence and Maricopa. Several places around Florence junction are popular. Other guys up north off 17. We mostly shoot in Maricopa area.

IGunz, has a good place out west phoenixish we have shot. Lotta good spots, lotta desert.

This guys Troy brake might give the Rainier Arms Mini Comp a run for the money and it looks like he is shooting in the daytime. From the Custom build section of this forum.
