Premature Wear? Or Normal Break-in?

Just got this all in today, brand new everything...

Just wondering if this was normal, or something I need to worry about?

Or maybe it's because I only pull on the latch side?

Perfectly normal. I follow the "if it's shiny, lube it" rule, so I put a little lube right in that area every once in a while.

I have three BCM/Vltor charging handles and they all exhibited the same wear pattern in my AR's after a few range trips... It's normal and nothing to be concerned about. Happy shooting!

My Gunfighter CH's are bare metal in lots of areas.

Thanks guys! This is my first "all new" rifle, so I was just concerned. Nothing drags with just the CH in there, so I guess I'll be alright! This forums is great!

Perfectly normal. I have a Colt upper with only a few hundred rounds through it, and its charging handle looks about the same.
