Worth the read:

And you thought we had too much money (employment) in the "War on Drugs" invested to simply walk away? The 'War on Terror is morphing into its own industry sector.

Good luck

Good luck

according to DHS their are none so article is legit in that sense ;)

DHS would have had to recognize fort hood was not workplace violence but terrorism !!! that alone shows even when it happens they refuse to see it !

you refuse to secure the border you refuse to call ILLEGAL ALIENS !! ILLEGAL !!!!
when you catch illegals you let them go

our system is so so so broken

Love this line from the article cited in the OP: "Absence of evidence, it [report from the investigatory arm of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs] implies, cannot possibly be evidence of absence."

Just like no politician is willing to be the guy that pulls the plug on a flailing military intervention for fear of being labeled a "cut and run" loser who defiled the sacrifice of every American life lost, no politician or bureaucrat is going to ever scale back anti-terrorism expenditures or legislative/law enforcement overreach for fear of being labeled "responsible" for the next inevitable terrorist attack, regardless of how significant.

ETA: Another intriguing article on the FP website which challenges the widely-held belief in religious/Islamic fundamentalism, coupled with anger regarding poverty and government corruption, as the root cause of terrorism: What the Vikings Can Teach Us About Terrorism: It's not about religion (http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2012/10/08/what_the_vikings_can_teach_us_about_terrorism?page=0,0)

Then you simply invent them to justify your power grab and God knows what else you want to accomplish.

DOJ flyers circulated at gun shops and surplus stores:

I go right through security with zero delay both times, she has to walk through the machine, gets the wand and patted down extensively both times.

Are you familiar with what anecdotal evidence is?

DHS does not accept reports about terrorists. They tell you to call 911.

DHS is an ineffective freedom-threatening agency. It should be disbanded and everyone fired.

and yet it happened to my mom ? and funny she even had her Employee ID with her my dad was a pilot ? before they strip searched her they said well we dont do racial profiling and you got picked ! we just take random people its more fair that way or some BS

and it happens way to often to folks it should not and to many get through that should be subject to checking

OK, so here's the rehearsal:

http://boston.cbslocal.com/2012/10/09/boston-man-arrested-at-lax-with-weapons-body-armor/ That should read "patsy"

Remember Obama's debate comment - the job of government is to keep you safe...

Look for the real deal in late October?

Not trying to prove anything; just telling a story. Most people already know all this TSA BS is stupid. Those who don't likely wouldn't accept anything as evidence.

This write-up discusses the changing federal government "lexicon" with regard to language that describes terrorists and radical Islam. It fits the general pattern: confusion with a heavy side order of political correctness.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/watercooler/2012/sep/24/picket-muslim-advocacy-groups-influence-heavily-us/

Here's on example:

Gohmert questioned FBI director Robert Mueller in May 2012 about the deleting of FBI material. Rep. Gohmert went to the House floor and compared the number of times certain terms (at 22:40) were used in the 9/11 Commission report as opposed to the now purged FBI training manual. For example, according to Gohmert, the 9/11 report mentioned the word “Islam” 322 times. However, Gohmert discusses that the FBI training manual can no longer mention the terms: Islam, Muslim, jihad, enemy, Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, al Qaeda, caliphate, Shariah law.
“The people who were the hijackers the people who planned the attacks that hoped to have killed tens of thousands of Americans instead of three thousand those were Islamists…they believed in Islam. And thank God that they only represent a tiny percentage of Muslims around the world, but let’s be realistic. As one intelligence officer said, ‘we are blinding ourselves to being able to see who our enemy is.’”
