Zero..it's the first thing I turn off when joining a forum. That and email notifications. Which is basically the same thing with this forum.

I turn off email notifications for sure.

I like subs to threads on the forum though.

Depending what it is I will un-subscribe

I had to thin down my email notifications, for a while i was receiving 10 emails an hour.

100's... but I only get email notifications for a dozen or so. It seems that the notifications get reset periodically.

Ya the email notifications fill pretty quick.

Before I turned it off I would have around 100-200 a day. lol

Last christmas I went to Iowa, was gone for 10 days with no internet.

When I got back my subscriptions and email notifications were around 600 in my inbox, plus around 20 subs on the forum

I've got you all beat (up to now). Was at 2911 before I responded to this thread.

I like the subscriptions and the emails they generate when a thread is responded-to. I sometime kind of keep up with thread by the emails. (I know I don't get everything since I only get one per thread until I go to M4C again but it is enough to keep up with some threads and to give me a flavor on others, often)

Note: If you turn off your subscription notifications, that applies to threads you post in or subscribe to, not the old threads you were subscribed to prior to the change. The older ones eventually die out, but it can take some time.

FYI, in case anyone is planning to turn them off to manage notification traffic.
