View Full Version : Costa Catalyst and Comp-Tac MTAC?

I carry my M&P9 FS in a Comp-Tac MTAC hybrid holster (kydex shell, leather back). I have small hands, and was thinking about the Catalyst extended mag release. I want to know if anyone has experience with the Catalyst AND the MTAC holster. My concern is that due to the leather backer, it might activate an extended mag release unexpectedly.

I was wondering the same thing the other day, I have a new comptac n the mail today. Probably going to be a few weeks before I get the catalyst so hopefully someone else already knows

Grant, do you own a comptac mtac? If you do please test it for me to see if the holster can accidentally depress the extended mag release.

Don't have any problems with the Catalyst in Fricke holsters either...

I got in on the clearance sale from comptac on thursday and already got this in the mail. this is a GEN 1 holster and it does not appear to show the mag release being close enough for it to matter. the Gen 2 may have higher leather on that part.
