View Full Version : Receiver Extension Lengths

Looking for overall lengths on a carbine receiver extension, and the Vltor A5 extension. Overall length not installed is fine, if you could get me a length with it installed (from rear of receiver to rear of tube) would be fantastic. NOT looking for lengths with the stock installed, JUST the tube.

Rear of receiver to back of mil-spec tube, 6-3/4". A5 tube, 7-1/2".

My measurements come out the same as 3 AE's.

Two lowers. Both with Vltor RE's.

One has standard length RE. The other an A5. The measurements both are from the rear of the castle nut with 5 rings of threads behind the nut.

-standard receiver is 6 3/8 "

-the A5 is 7 1/16"
