Just wondering how many of you guys are current or former ROTC cadets? Seems like there are a couple here...

I wonder how many enlisted are on here? I'm also curious about what the mos/afsc break down is.

To get the ball rolling, 17D3B here... cyberspace operations officer.

I am currently enrolled into the Army ROTC at my college...for fun. I am too old to become an officer, and not to the mention some of the health problems that has kept me out of the Uncle Sam's employment.

What I am doing is getting to know how squad battle drills, planning and other platoon, squad and fire team level operations are actually done, not what is portrayed or glossed over in the history books and writings.

it is a blast and hugely informative, and I can believe they are letting me do it.

And the best part about it: I bring my own gear. No ACU's for me.

I am a NJROTC with honors grad from High School. Probably still the most fulfilling and best class that still is with me in my everyday life.

One of my daughters commissioned through ROTC at Norwich. She married a young man who commissioned via ROTC at Oregon State. Both went into USAF. Fantastic program to get a free education if you already want to go military. I met many fine young Americans from her class, some raised here and some new citizens.

I did SMP through the ARNG so I was enlisted for a year before contracting and becoming an official cadet. Went through OSUT as an 11B and am hoping for either infantry or MP officer which I will know by the end of the month. Already made the AD cut though so I'm happy. That shit's getting hard...
