At this point, I've tried an LBV and a Chest Rig. The Chest Rig (BCM03) worked better, but for a real-life civilian like myself, I've come to the conclusion that simply adding a couple kydex mag carriers with rifle mags to my CCW rig is probably most realistic and, therefore, what I'd like to train with.
However, what do you do in the rain/cold? Seems like you'd want your gear on the outside, right? Rain pants don't have belt loops (and it would suck to take the time to take everything off your belt, add your rain pants and then put it all back on, even if they did have belt loops)
So, how do you address your gear around inclement weather clothing?
A warbelt seems like the easy answer, but I don't think that's very realistic for a civilian.
