I would like to know if the SOG model 2000 SEAL knife that is issued to Naval Special Warfare units are made in the USA? I handle one while down range and could have sworn it was made in the USA, and not Seki Japan. I would think that the military knives would be made in the states to conform with Berry.

The older SOGs and better quality come from Seki Japan. Then new ones that are not made as well and mostly found at Sporting goods stores and gun shows are the Taiwan ones. I do not know if they have a NSN and are true issue or unit purchased.

I bought mine in 2007 and it is made in Taiwan. Quality knife for the price but I don't think ANY of their knives are Berry Compliant. Some of the multitools say "Assembled in the USA" but you know what that means...

"Assembled in the USA" does not mean it is made here. The steel suggests Japan but SOG has moved most of its stuff to China and Taiwan. There are better choices.
