Hey guys I noticed these dents/gouges on my Glock 22. I wonder if anyone can comment if this is normal or not. If not whats going on? I believe it is a Gen 1 bought early 90's. Probably only a few thousand rounds.
Was referred to as "torque peening" and common in the .40 models. I ran a G22 and 35 many many rounds over the years when we carried them. No worries
Common question. Completely normal. I'm more surprised to see a G22 without it than with it. If it starts burr, knock off the edges with a file.
If you google "40 Glock slide peening" or something similar, you'll see other examples.

Thanks for the info. I'm relieved.
My G17 has them as well. I noticed it after shooting +P+ ammo.
It's normal, nothing to worry about.
