View Full Version : Non-Anodized A4 Upper
Does anyone know how / where I can get a non-anodized A3/A4 upper?
I have a lower which I had adonized early gray and wanted a matching upper. I didn't want the expense of a new upper and getting that blasted and then re-adonized.
If there isn't an option, then that's my only path. Thanks.

You can always chemically strip the anodizing from an existing receiver.

Found this awesome product.

It doesn't save me money but what it does do is not remove any more material - and I can do multiple parts.

Try nodak spud.
I was successful in getting a half dozen receiver sets from Aero in the white...
I was building a retro rifle using a Colt M16A1 upper & wanted the lower to match. I used Norrell Moly Resin. They had a color that matched the M16A1 exactly.

"GRAYISH-BLACK Flat
Dark gray-black coloration with a flat appearance. This duplicates the appearance of the early original Colt model SP-1 AR-15 and M16-A1 finish. This is the same product that is purchased from us by the U.S. Military to refinish M-16's at various military bases and armories. "
