So has anyone tried a BABC in place of the factory FN (PWS) brake?
If so, how does it compare? Pros/cons?

Recoil felt a little better and the concussion wasn't as obnoxious as the PWS

I had one on mine for a while. It actually cause the muzzle to dip down. I have some video somewhere, but I'll have to search for it.

I went back to the PWS and have been meaning to install a flash hider.

I was going to ask this same question as well. Has anyone cut the barrel down to 13" and had a BABC installed? How's it feel/sound?

My buddy ran his stock scar 17 in a course. Standing next to him with the blast and shooting hot brass at my face is very distracting lol.

Replaced the PWS that came on the wifes SCAR16 very fast.
It was waayy more abnoxious compared to the SCAR17 PWS?

Have plans on a Geissele trigger and PWS rail as well. However, am thinking of replacing the brake with the BABC first.

I have a SCAR 17. The concussion of the PWS was so obnoxious that I had to change it. I put a Smith Vortex on it. There is noticeably more recoil at the bench, but not bad. Even with more recoil it is still more pleasant to shoot than with the PWS.

I dont find the PWS that bad on my 17. It was terrible on the 16. Main reason I have not replaced it on my 17 yet.

Thats why was wondering about the BABC. Its a bit pricey for a soso difference. Thats why am asking for those that have tried it on a 17.

Now the Geissele trigger, thats another story. Put one in the wife's 16 and it made a noticeable difference. So that is planned for my 17 down the road.
