View Full Version : Anyone here current or prior Army ordnance corps (especially officers)?

Just found out this is where I'll be spending my next several years. I have to admit, I'm disappointed - I really wanted to stay infantry (enlisted ARNG for 2 years) or at least get MP since armor wasn't at all likely. But I don't know anything about what an ordnance officer does, and aside from EOD, I can't find much. Hoping to find one or two here that may have a better clue.

I am not an officer, nor am I am the Army. I am however in the AF and I work in a Bomb Dump or Munitions Storage Area. Pretty much you will be in charge of everyone that maintains the facilities, stores, inspects, issues and transports all munitions to include small arms. I can't speak to the direct way it will be done, but I have worked with Army, Navy and civilian Ordinance personnel and it all pretty much follows the same Tech data.
